Stephanie Longoria is a Designer & Illustrator who loves to draw, paint and sew. Designing new characters is her passion. Inspiration for her work comes from her children, Latino culture, and love of color.
Stephanie’s love for illustration and crafting began at an early age.
As a child she would tag along with her mom to craft shows, and learned a variety of crafts from her. Her dad would save the Sunday comics from the newspaper and encourage her to improve her drawing skills by copying the comic strips.
While growing up in South Texas, summer trips to San Antonio, and (unsuccessful) ballet folklorico lessons, fueled her love of her Latino culture, growing up in the late 80s/ early 90s being obsessed with
Lisa Frank school supplies, and everything Hello Kitty helped form her playful artistic style.
Studio Longoria has evolved over the past few years. As Stephanie has grown as an artist so have her products. She began sewing pillows from fabric that she loved. Sadly she started seeing that same fabric being used by many other artist. So she decided to put her graphic design skills to the test and design her own fabric. That's when inspiration hit and she started turning her illustrations into small plush dolls. Dolls turned to apparel, prints, and even a coloring book.
When she is not in her art studio creating new work, she can be found at the baseball field cheering on her sons from the scorekeeper box,
in the classroom teaching, or watching the latest superhero movie with her family.
